Our Commitment

We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We will implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

Our Structure and Business

Vestafy Services Limited is a construction consultancy providing a range of services to clients across the UK. Our supply chains include contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers of materials and services related to our operations.

Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking

To safeguard against modern slavery, we have implemented the following policies:

  1. Code of Conduct: Our code of conduct reflects our commitment to ensuring that our business is conducted according to ethical, professional, and legal standards.
  2. Supplier Code of Conduct: We require our suppliers to comply with our supplier code of conduct, which includes specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory, or trafficked labor, or anyone held in slavery or servitude.
  3. Recruitment Policy: We operate a robust recruitment policy, including conducting eligibility checks for all employees to safeguard against human trafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will.
  4. Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage all our employees, customers, and other business partners to report any concerns related to the direct activities, or the supply chains of, Vestafy Services Limited. This includes any circumstances that may give rise to an enhanced risk of slavery or human trafficking.

Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk:

  • We conduct due diligence on all new suppliers and contractors before allowing them to become one of our suppliers.
  • Our due diligence includes a review of the supplier’s financial standing, ability to deliver on projects, and a review of the supplier’s policies on anti-slavery and human trafficking.
  • We will conduct regular audits of our supply chains to ensure compliance with our policies.

Training

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our staff. We also require our business partners to provide training to their staff and suppliers.

Our Effectiveness in Combating Slavery and Human Trafficking

We use the following key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure how effective we have been to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains:

  • Completion of audits by the compliance team.
  • Use of labor monitoring and payroll systems.
  • Communication and personal contact with the next link in the supply chain and their understanding of, and compliance with, our expectations.

Further Steps

Following a review of the effectiveness of the steps we have taken to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains, we intend to take further steps to combat any instances of modern slavery.
